- P1574 – Automatic speed control device vehicle speed sensor Found alternator intermittently not charging. When this happens, PCM starts cutting non-essential components to get vehicle off of road. Alternator needs replacement. Recommend belt at this time. Battery was too low to start vehicle, had to jump start. After charging, battery still testing at 58% capacity. Recommend replacing battery as well as battery terminal ends. Replaced alternator and test drove vehicle another fifteen miles. Had no issues after alternator replacement at this time. No codes have returned after battery was disconnected.
